Privacy & Terms

What is collected, what is never collected, and what this is not.

MYLEVELUPS is a small, invite-only project run by Phil for close friends. Plain language, no legalese:

WHAT WE COLLECT

WHO CAN SEE IT

WHAT WE NEVER DO

WHERE IT LIVES

On this website’s server (WordPress hosting). Every connection is HTTPS and the site refuses plain HTTP outright; anyone with administrator access is required to use two-factor authentication. Data stays until you delete it or ask Phil to delete your account, which removes your profile, values, and photos.

YOUR CONTROLS

TERMS OF USE

Plain-language version. A lawyer-reviewed version is coming; until then, this is the deal.

THE SERVICE

MYLEVELUPS is a free, invite-only, hobby-run personal dashboard. It is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. It can change, break, or shut down at any time without notice.

NOT MEDICAL ADVICE

Nothing here is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Numbers come from your own devices and apps and may be wrong, delayed, or incomplete. Never make health decisions based on this site — talk to a qualified professional, and call emergency services in an emergency.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service. You use it at your own risk, and your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using it and ask for your data to be deleted.

YOUR ACCOUNT & CONTENT

Keep your invite links, HUD links, and API keys secret — anyone with them can see or submit your data. You are responsible for what you upload; upload only content you have the right to use, and nothing unlawful. You keep ownership of your content and grant the site permission to store and display it as needed to run the service. Accounts may be suspended or removed at the operator’s discretion.

HARDCORE MODE CAN DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT

This is the most important sentence on this page. Some journeys can be run in hardcore. If you commit to hardcore and then fail a day with no credits left, your account is permanently deleted — the login, the profile, every value you have ever logged, and your public page. It is immediate, it is not recoverable, and it is not a mistake when it happens. That is what the mode is for. Nobody is put into hardcore without choosing it and typing a confirmation, and you can see your remaining credits at any time. If that is not a risk you want, do not commit to it.

NO MESSAGING, BY DESIGN

There is no chat, no comments, and no way to send another member free text — not now and not later. Every social interaction is a fixed choice from a menu, like an old RPG. This is deliberate: a one-person hobby project cannot moderate what strangers type at each other, so it does not offer the option.

WHO CAN USE IT

You need an invite, and invites are limited — you may be given a small number to hand out, or none. Invites can be withdrawn. You must be at least 13; if you are under 18, a parent or guardian should know you are storing health data here. One account per person.

DELETION AND BACKUPS

Ask and your account goes, or hardcore takes it. Either way it is removed from the live database immediately. Backups are taken so that a mistake or a broken server does not lose everyone’s history, so a copy of your data can survive in a backup for a while after deletion before it ages out. Backups are never used for anything except restoring the site.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Apple Health, Health Auto Export, Pulsoid, Twitch/OBS and similar tools are third-party services with their own terms; the operator is not responsible for them.

GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
